Dyslexia - What myth?
Like most of you who wrote in the Channel 4 lobby, it felt so heartening to know we shared anger at the misunderstandings. If there really are so many of us, why have we not united in one voice instead of being descriminated against as hurt individuals. Imagine what a powerful lobby we could be, and help those little children who will suffer at the hands of prejudice and ignorance as we did, if we do not act. Let us not just drift away into the ether. Can we not keep up this contact in a useful and practical way? Can we not start our own society, a society not just for, but Of dyslexics? What do you thing guys..Please leave comments and e-mail addresses..Speak to me!!!For those of you that have found my website in though other sources please feel free to leave your comments or e-mail me at harry_m_thompson@hotmail.com and leave your e-mail addresses along with where you heard about my blog. I am trying to help people in schools with this condition by making sure that the government does everything it can to help them. We have moved on yes, but there are still problems within schools - unknown problems. Children who are bright but have dyslexia are still not being given the chance they disserve and I myself have experienced this ignorance. It is time that we as Dyslexics stood up for our selves and show the government and others that we are a powerful group and we will be listened to. If programs suggesting Dyslexia is a myth are allowed to be produced what else could happen, this is only the beginning.
